DeadHead Skull Taxidermy
We are located in Big Lake, Minnesota. About
1/2 hour northwest of the twin cities metro area off of highway 10 and
only a few miles from interstate 94.
All of our skulls are prepared in a four step process. They are cleaned using dermestid beetles, degreased, peroxide whitened and then sealed in a clear coat. Dermestid beetles clean skulls with no damage even in the delicate nasal bones. Boiling can split, crack and shrink skulls while cooking the grease into the bone leaving yellow spots. Our metal coatings are real metal. They include bronze, copper, nickel and iron. Patinas are applied after the coatings and are burnished back to achieve the desired look. We then seal with a clear coat to stop future corrosion. All of our orders are processed in the order received. Please freeze heads as soon as possible. We expect all heads received to be fresh and frozen. Proper game tags are required. Wholesale work is available. Taxidermists contact us for inquiry. |
